Sun Gear

The Sun Gear was modeled from photos taken during my BFA at Central Michigan University, later testing the University of Montana Media Arts' revived Thing-O-Matic while working on my MFA. Its original transmission make and model remain unknown. Using updated firmware with MakerWare 2.3, I achieved "high" default settings at .1mm Layer Height and 15% infill, resulting in impressive detail. Future improvements include new v3.3 Stepper Drivers and linear bearing replacements, with results expected soon. Good luck and enjoy!
