Sun Diver Vulture

The concept is centered around a composite creature that unites the characteristics of a vulture and secretary bird, specifically designed as a formidable ground runner with impressive aerial capabilities courtesy of its expansive wingspan. A deliberate decision was made to diverge from traditional predator color schemes, which often feature muted tones, by opting for a vibrant palette. In order to bring this vision to life, I began by crafting the base model in 3dsmax, subsequently refining it with intricate details using zbrush, then reducing the poly count through efficient techniques in 3d-coat. The sculpture was later re-imported into max where the wings were added, and finally, several painting programs were utilized for the final touches.
