Sump pump hose coupling
thingiverse
Human connects a 1-1/2" corrugated hose, commonly used for sump pumps in North America, to a 3" threaded PVC cleanout fitting. The connection required reliable performance with minimal vertical space, as seen in the third photo which I inherited from previous owners. No further details are necessary. This coupling is not designed for watertight seals; instead, it fits scenarios where the sump pump hose drains into a wider pipe that flows downward. I initially printed this part in PLA, but it cracked after several months due to unknown factors such as accidental damage or excessive stress. I then replaced it with glass-filled PLA, which appears to be functioning well. Several contractors have needed to replace or modify the hose since its installation, and they successfully figured out how it works without asking for assistance, which I consider a design success.
