Product Name: Summer Time (Necklace/Belt) I designed this piece as a necklace, but I think it would also look great as a belt to add a pop of color to a white summer dress. To bring out the vibrant colors, I chose a printing method that lets me use different hues. These colors remind me of the sunshine and happiness associated with summer. This design has a special meaning for me from several months back when my life felt like it was spiraling out of control. To find some order in the chaos, I turned to art. I drew circles as perfectly as possible and then let my thoughts flow freely inside them without overthinking. This contrast between order and disorder is what I was trying to explore. The final patterns show organized lines on one hand, but their shapes and composition were created through my free and spontaneous thoughts. Finding a balance between being structured and letting go of control is something I learned from this experience.
