The historic Sulphur Springs Water Tower stands proudly on Tampa's landscape, situated alongside Interstate-275 as you enter downtown. It boasts a sturdy buttressed cantilever foundation, showcasing exquisite floret designs that adorn the base of each buttress element. When operational, this tower could hold an impressive 200,000 gallons of water, supplied by Sulphur Springs on the Hillsborough River. A partnership between USF-DHHC and the Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center aimed to document the preservation efforts at this significant site.
