Sullivan Hi Tork airplane starter battery box
thingiverse
I've seen similar products come and go with a battery box below the starter, but I could never find them for sale. So, I decided to model up a box that fits my starter perfectly. The design comfortably accommodates a 2200 mah lipo battery and has enough space for a second one. To ensure stability, use supports on both the front plate and the battery box. The back plate doesn't require any additional support. Printing with 30 percent infill provides sufficient strength. For optimal results, print the box bottom down and lay the side components flat on the build plate. Assembly requires some preparation: You'll need to drill holes in the back plate. The front plate may need different nuts than what comes standard, as mine's stock ones wouldn't grab the threads properly. Be careful not to damage the starting thread when trying to assemble it. Use 3mm nuts and bolts or any small bolts you have on hand to assemble the sides to the battery box. Enjoy your new battery box!
