The Sukhoi SU-57 Sokol is a futuristic jet fighter derived from the Sukhoi SU-47, set to succeed its predecessor. Known as Berkut (Russian for "Golden Eagle"), the SU-47 boasts an unusual inverted wing setup and is admired by many as one of the most stunning jet fighters ever made. The name Sokol ("Hawk" in Russian) was chosen for the SU-57 due to its smaller size compared to the Berkut, while its nickname harks back to Sukhoi's naming tradition (SU-27, SU-37, and SU-47).
