Suitcase USB Connection
thingiverse
Recent flights have resulted on my spending a prolonged period in airports waiting for my delayed flights. To try and combat the boredom, I wanted to update my luggage to house a USB battery bank to keep my devices charged while I wait. This quickly expanded to not only charging, but with the advent of expensive additional storage options for mobile phones, I wanted to add an option to include an OTG adaptor in the case so I can add videos etc. into a memory card/stick installed in the case. The print is relatively simple, but the kit was wired up using some additional parts in one of the images. The paint was added by flooding the recessed lettering with paint, allowing to dry and then sanding the surface smooth. Affixing it to my case required drilling two holes in the case (it was a hard case) and then using superglue to affix the two parts to either side of the case (one inside, and one outside) to provide rigidity and labelling. As an extra I used an eylet inside my case to allow the usbc cables to come through the lining of the case and let me keep my battery bank more accessible.
