Sugar Portioner (1g)
prusaprinters
For "cocking engineers", who need a perfect amount of sugar or salt. I designed the sugar dispensers for the right sweetness in my morning coffee (while a salt dispenser came out just as a by-product, resulted from a mis-calculation of the specific weight ;-). Print instructionsAll four parts can be printed in one go. Use PETG for food safety. Use smooth steelsheet to make moving parts as smooth as possible. Function This gadet dispenses approximately 1g of cristal sugar, each time you pull the lever to the right. The wheel you turm by sliding the lever has a pocket of 1 cm³ (which will hold about 1g of sugar). At initial position the sugar from the container will trickle into this pocket. By turning the wheel, the pocket is shifted to a hole in the dispenser part, and the sugar is fluttering down and out of the dispenser. When you release the lever, the wheel is automatically pulled back into initial position (this is accomplished by an elastic rubber ring stretched between wheel and dispenser part. Assembly instructions The only tricky part is the retention mechanism. I am using a 2 cm diameter rubber ring used in households to close bags. To increase the tension, the rubber ring has to be folded, and two end need to be fiddled into the small hole with the little hook in the wheel. The other two end are put around the hook in the D shaped pocket in the dispenser part. Then the wheel can be inserted into the wheel box. Now fit all three noses on the bottom of the container part into the corresponding grooves int the dispenser part. Press the two parts softly together and turn the container part carefully clockwise. The cover part goes on top and locks the connection between dispenser and container part.
