Sugar or Salt Dispenser
thingiverse
I had built a sugar dispenser that closely resembled existing ones (like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:724273 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:707060), only to discover later that my brown sugar was grinding away at the petg, leaving me with barely visible plastic fragments in my coffee. The same thing happened with my nasal douche/salt dispenser. So I designed a new version from scratch. Its elegant design delivers precisely 2.1 g of salt, as shown in the video. Moreover, the moving parts are made of steel washers, which means no more plastic in your coffee (although corrosion may occur, it's not a health risk). However, there's a catch: you'll need four steel washers with specific dimensions (inner diameter: 15 mm, outer diameter: 44 mm, height: 3 mm) and drill some holes (see below), which I couldn't accomplish without a drill press. I've included a plastic version of the washers as a model and to test the hole design, so you can decide whether to take on the task after printing. When using it, turn the two parts clockwise, allowing them to close over time. I've added the autodesk-fusion file (even though it's a bit of a mess) in case someone wants to adjust the dose.
With this file you will be able to print Sugar or Salt Dispenser with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Sugar or Salt Dispenser.
