As punishment for his murder of Simon Gertner, Oswalt Kramer, a local resident, was forced to set up a stone cross in 1507 under court orders and bear the costs. This cross was removed from the foundation wall of the Ergericht (Number 64) before 1928 and eventually found its place here.
