The suction hood plate is attached beneath the router/spindle clamp on a CNC machine for effective dust collection. Supported by magnetic studs, this plate also features space for an illumination LED ring. A photo showcases the setup prior to adding the hood. With three pairs of magnetic studs in place, the suction function seems adequate; however, the vinyl along the sides could be longer. Air intake is facilitated through the vinyl-free backside. Future plans involve incorporating a cyclonic dust filter for enhanced performance.
