SUCHOMINUS is a name that sticks in your mind - Suchomimus ("crocodile mimic") was indeed a fish-eating and meat-eating large spinosaurid theropod dinosaur with a head that resembled a crocodile's snout. It ruled the earth 112 million years ago during the Lower Cretaceous period in what is now Africa.[1] This massive creature measured around 10.3-11 meters (34-36 feet) in length, and weighed anywhere from 2.7 to 5.2 tons (2.7 to 5.1 long tons; 3.0 to 5.7 short tons).[2][3][4] Suchomimus moved about on two incredibly powerful hind legs, and had short clawed arms with three fingers - the first finger being the longest of them all.
