subwoofer protection guard grill
thingiverse
To safeguard my car's trunk-mounted subwoofer, I engineered this protective shield. Designed for a subwoofer with a 30 cm / 12 inches diameter and likely compatible with 10 inch models (double-check your dimensions), the membrane protector measures 1 cm on my subwoofer but is designed to accommodate a 2.2 cm membrane and 3 cm cone. The protection consists of three printed parts, making it accessible for most FDM 3D printers. I chose PETG due to its durability in high summer temperatures, as PLA cannot withstand such conditions. Necessary supports were added for suspended parts during printing. The holes are designed for 3 x 20 mm wood and chipboard screws. Please modify the design to suit your screw type or subwoofer size if needed. The .3mf file can be opened with 3D Builder, available for free on the Windows Store. A single-part STL file contains the final model of the subwoofer protector.
