Submersible CD/DVD Motor Water Pump
thingiverse
I used Sugru around the motor spindle, to seal the motor container and wires tightly inside it. Now, one week has passed since it started working with a phone charger (5V), pumping its own water back into its aquarium and testing the waterproof capabilities of it successfully. Instead of using Sugru, you can also apply a Hot Glue Gun around the motor and wires to seal them firmly, just make sure there are no air bubbles in the glue as possible. You should also add some glue between the base and casing to prevent any leaks from occurring. You can also use DVD/CD reader/burner motors for this project. Protec.stl : The cover for the motor container is a crucial file that you need. Bas.stl : The base of the pump is another important file. Housse.stl : The case of the pump, a vital component. Impeller.stl : The impeller of the pump remains unchanged, as mentioned in Remix Source File. Pompe.x3g : If you have a Replicator 1 Dual, use this file to print the pump at optimal settings.
