3D Model of the Soviet Project 941 or Akula Class Submarine, nicknamed Typhoon by NATO, is available in a WinRAR archive (.rar). The model is created in Autodesk Maya and can be exported to various formats: .obj, .fbx, and .mb. Located at XYZ=0,0,0 in each format, the file has been tested on several programs. The Typhoon-class submarine, with a submerged displacement of 48,000 tonnes, is the largest class ever built, offering decent living facilities for its crew during long submerged periods. However, in March 2012, the Russian Navy canceled the modernization program due to cost, and the remaining Typhoons reached the end of service after the elimination of SS-N-20 Sturgeon SLBMs in September 2012. The model includes textures in X3 - 8192x8192 .jpg format, including color, bump, and normal maps. Enjoy!
