Subaru Trunk Cover Latch Replacement
thingiverse
I decided to take matters into my own hands when the right latch on the cover for the trunk of my 2004 Subaru finally gave up the ghost, so I pulled out the calipers and set about printing a replacement.\r\n\r\nTo remove the previous latch, I had to drill out the original rivet that held it in place.\r\n\r\nEach side requires:\r\n1x M4x16mm Socket Head Cap Screw\r\n1x 4mm Flat Washer\r\n1x M4x.7mm nut\r\n\r\nI originally printed this in PLA as a test fit, hoping it would withstand the heat, but it warped severely in moderate weather over the course of a week. I'm currently testing PETG to see how it holds up, and I'm confident that ABS wouldn't have any issues.\r\n\r\nThe logo may or may not be visible depending on your print settings and filament choice, so I included an alternative version without the logo.
