Subaru Sliding Armrest Latches

Subaru Sliding Armrest Latches

I fabricated these as a quick fix to repair the broken latches on the sliding armrest of my 2007 Subaru Forester. Probably the same components used in Imprezas from that era. I didn't have a new latch to reference, but found the broken hook of one of mine, 2D scanned both parts combined, converted to SVG, extruded, and then added the post and hook using 123D software. You'll want to print them out in ABS or PETG material, PLA won't likely be strong enough. Also, the hole is slightly undersized, so drill with a 6.5mm bit for a precise fit. You may also need to file the spring retainer slot a bit to ensure a secure capture of the spring. They seem to work pretty well on my car, time will tell how long they'll last before I need to print some more.
