A broken battery cover was experienced on a Subaru remote transmitter, leading to the creation of both a standard and optional replacement version. The optional version is preferred due to the weak point in the stock version's key ring attachment. The original part number for the Subaru is 88035AC231. An update from January 31st, 2015, mentioned that the remote stopped working after a keys drop incident, traced back to a weak battery retaining tab on the cover. As a result, the wall thickness of the retaining tab was increased from 1mm to 1.5mm, with all files being updated accordingly. The replacement cover is compatible with various Subaru models such as Forester, Impreza, Legacy, and Outback from model years 2001-2004. The printed cover specification includes a 100% fill rate with 0.15 mm layer thickness.
