Subaru Legacy extended sunglasses holder

Subaru Legacy extended sunglasses holder

thingiverse

This is a customized sunglasses holder that I redesigned from my 2013 Subaru Legacy. The original version wasn't large enough to hold my sunglasses, so I decided to create a bigger and better one. All the components function just like the original, with the latch still catching when closed and the spring still pushing it down. Every part is designed to be printed without support material, except for the bottom part, which has built-in supports that snap off easily. Use a brim when printing the top and bottom parts to ensure good adhesion to the bed. Assembly is simple with built-in guide pins to position the top and bottom parts, and the two side parts have tabs that fit together perfectly. Just apply a few dabs of glue between the parts, and you're done. Don't use PLA if your car will get hot in your area - it can warp, I've learned from experience. I used Colorfab XT without any issues. I know this design fits my 2013 Legacy, but I can't guarantee compatibility with other models. If someone tries it on another vehicle and it works, let me know so I can update the description.
