Subaru key holder
thingiverse
I built this model and printed it using a Monoprice IIIP 3D printer. The Command Strip for picture frames holds up to 16 lbs, but you need to follow the directions and use four strips instead of one, like I did. You can find these strips on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Command-Picture-Hanging-12-Strips-17206-12ES/dp/B00LOQMCDM/ref=zg_bs_511352_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=A0Z8MG6W4BTXEFH49782. The design fits my Subaru Outback keys perfectly. However, I had to paint the model poorly because I use a soldering gun to flatten out areas where supports were, making them super smooth but discoloring the plastic in the process. If there's enough demand, I can make this design for other keys as well. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 20% Notes: Make sure to sand and smooth out the slot for the Command Strip. A good way to do this is by using a soldering gun, not an iron. These pistol-shaped guns can smooth out plastic better than irons. Cleaning with alcohol before applying the Command Strip helps a lot too.
