Subaru Forester/Impreza Key Fob Case
thingiverse
Key Fob Case for Non-US Subaru Forester, Impreza (Includes WRX and STI) is visible in the third picture. This case has space for the blade, PCB, battery, immobilizer, and button shell. It also has space for a Subaru logo that can be purchased on AliExpress or similar websites for a few dollars (15*7 mm). Because of Inventor's unusual STL export, you may need to scale it by 10. Requirements: - Three M2.5 screws - Optional Subaru logo To Assemble: - Place the PCB in its shell and then insert them into the case. - Position the immobilizer in the small compartment next to the blade. - Insert the blade into its compartment, aligning the hole in the blade with the hole in the case. Depending on print quality, you may need to trim this area for a proper fit. - Remove the metal part from under the battery in the original case and place it in the battery holder. Push the pin through it, then position the battery over it. - Bend the metal pins from under the battery so they touch the golden contact pads on the PCB. Repeat this process for the pin connecting the PCB to the battery. This case has more space between the PCB and battery, requiring a greater upward bend. Properly bending these pins is crucial; if not done correctly, lock/unlock buttons will not function. - Assemble the halves and test the lock/unlock buttons on your car. If they do not work, the metal pins are bent incorrectly. - Once functioning properly, reassemble the halves with glue in between and around the blade. - Secure the screws with some Loctite. - You're finished!
