Subaru CVT to STI shift surround adapter - v3

The idea is to be able to run an STI shift surround in your Crosstrek or Impreza. This has been in my head for a long time and I'm just getting around to experimenting. This requires assorted Subaru parts and no fear of Dremel (seriously, I take no responsibility if you mess up your car). The "Trim Panel" part is if you want to paint, wrap, or print it in a different material. Not required. If you do want to use that, you could use double-sided tape to attach it. I would think that for RHD you could just mirror the design. On the off chance you try it, can you let me know how it goes?
