Subaru CVT Testing Anti Wobble Insert
thingiverse
Ive been trying to eliminate a slight low speed wobble between 15 and 20 mph in my 2012 subaru outback. I just recently swapped all shocks, and the front axles however the problem persisted. I swapped out the original transmission mount for an aftermarket, which made it considerably worse. I noticed the aftermarket transmission mount was a bit softer than even the 120K mile stock one, so I put the stock trans mount back in place. I wondered if the popular anti-wobble inserts from Anderson or CKE performance were worth the money, so as I test, I printed my own inserts from TPU to see if it eliminated my wobble. Seems like they do help with the wobble, however the NVH is also increased, at least when printed at 100% infill. Ive since ordered the CKE performance insert, but I wanted to make this available in case anyone else is troubleshooting the same issue.Printed with Ender 3 v2 and 100% infill 95A TPU filament. You need to print two of them.I might try 70% infill, but I do worry the durability will suffer. Either way, it's not really intended for long term use, mostly just for troubleshooting.
