Subaru (12mm x 1.25) Shift Boot Retainer

If you're using a round shift knob, you'll often be stuck with an unsightly gap where the shifter comes through the shift boot. This little adapter I made because the ones from Amazon are pricey and I'm too impatient for shipping. Installation: You might be able to slide the retainer on depending on how the print turns out. After installing the retainer, add in the jam nut and use the retainer like a wrench to tighten it down. Then when you get the shift knob screwed all the way down, loosen the retainer back up again -- holding the shift knob in place -- until the jam nut is wedged up against the shift knob.
