Stützlager Z-Achse für Artillery Sidewinder X1

thingiverse

This project is about supporting bearings in the Z-axis of the Artillery Sidewinder X1. It was necessary to ensure that the usable height of the pressure chamber was not reduced. This was achieved, and now we can proceed with the installation of the supporting bearings. First, we need to drill holes for the screws that will hold the bearings in place. Then, we insert the bearings into the holes and tighten the screws. Next, we attach the lower stellring to the bearing using a madenschraube (a type of screw). We must ensure that the bearing is perfectly aligned with the axis of the z-axis. After that, we grease the axial bearing by removing its cover and applying lubricant to the surrounding area. Once the grease has been applied, we replace the cover and attach the upper stellring to the axial bearing. It's essential to note that there are two types of holders: left and right. The only difference between them is a small gap for the filament sensor cable. When assembling the supporting bearings, it's crucial to ensure that they are perfectly aligned with the axis of the z-axis. Before turning on the printer, we must check if the z-axis can move freely without any obstruction. To do this, we manually turn the z-axis until it reaches its home position. If there is still some clearance between the lower part of the blue aluminum parts and the upper part of the supporting bearings, then everything is okay. However, if the z-axis moves too far down, we can adjust the home position by raising the bed and re-leveling it. We must also adjust the Z-endstop to compensate for the increased height.
