Update - I have collected links from others who are creating something alonge these same lines. they are farther along.

https://www.vaquform.com/pages/ppe-mask?fbclid=IwAR2V8zwKQE1lYXgeSAaOfIlcc6q1bKo_c6iV_j4HJ6jmtnp1h5IociSRlIo

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1691101294484913/permalink/2525399864388381/

Please be advised- This is a proto type/ Idea.
I am simply trying to get this idea out to others as fast as possible.
This is an idea for a last resort N95 mask that can be produced with Vacuum forming and 3D machining or printing equipment found across the US. In an effort to get this out quickly I used the Montana Mask as a buck (Mold) this mask was made available online by Dr. Dusty Richardson, Dr Spencer Zaugg and Colton Zaugg of lovingyoursmile.com. The design takes 3 hours to print and must be sanded and sealed as the plastic produced by 3D printers is porous. The production time is far to limiting for mass production. I am proposing printing multiple buck molds in whatever number is appropriate for the producers vacuum table. The forming process is quick and cutting the forms from the sheet can be done with common utility blades. Multiple filters can be cut from one N95mask. Two forms are sandwiched together with the filter glued between and straps are stapled to the sides. The up side to this design is that the plastic is somewhat flexible, can be sanitized and the nose can be adjusted with hot air or hot water. If a greater seal is needed closed cell self-stick door insulation could be applied to the interior rim.

If this interest you, please run with it.
Big Thank you to. My wife and all the others in healthcare who leave their family each day to care for others. Also, a big thank you to Dr. Dusty Richardson, Dr Spencer Zaugg, Colton Zaugg

Disclaimer - I am not an engineer- Medical professional or expert on this subject. I am offering
this only as a good Samaritan.

Print instructions

I made this prototype with my 3DS and a homemade vacuform.
