Stylized Skull Mask

Whimsical skull mask, inspired by Papyrus from Undertale. Printable by mere mortals, within a day! Made to scale and thermoform for a perfect fit. I broke down the model into four parts so you can print on smaller beds, make the mouth move, and position the eyebrows as desired. Print Settings: Printer: Mankati Fullscale XT Plus Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 30% Notes: The mask is sized to fit a 10-year-old; you may need to re-scale all parts in your slicer depending on your needs. You will need to print two eyebrows, using the 'mirror' function to create both left and right brows. Use PLA for thermoforming. Print with three perimeters, especially for the Jaw, as it requires extra strength. The default part orientation is recommended; I experimented with different rotations and layouts to minimize support material. Do not use rafts on the head and face pieces, as they will be glued together using bed-facing surfaces. Use a brim if you experience bed adhesion issues. Post-Printing: Making the Printed Parts into a Mask You will need: Painter's tape Super Glue Hot glue gun Thick rubber gloves (for thermoforming) Optionally: Velcro straps and a Black '2nd Skin' Mask (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BF51RS8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Using Super Glue, join the smooth edges of the 'head' and 'face' parts that touched the printer bed. I used painter's tape to hold them in alignment while gluing. (Optionally) Thermoform the head and jaw pieces using hot water and a mold. Wear thick kitchen gloves for protection. You can do this multiple times until you achieve the desired shape. Attach the 'jaw' to the 'face' flanges, either with hot glue or string. For a moving mouth, attach foam rubber under the chin or use self-adhesive velcro squares for pose-ability. Hot glue the velcro straps around the back of your head. Thermoform and Super Glue the eyebrows into place. If you want to paint the mask, prime it with automotive primer and lightly sand before painting.
