This Ceiling Fan / Light pull chain, ball chain, pull string knob, handle, finial, fob is engineered for use with standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chain, ensuring a seamless integration. It will also work effectively with smaller chains when paired with a #6 metal connector. To install the chain, simply thread it through the top of the print and attach a standard #6 connector to its end. When using a ball chain and metal connector combination, you can create a loop around a keyring and secure the other end of the connector. This will provide a sturdy attachment point. If you don't have a metal connector on hand, you can download and print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file I've included in the design package. However, please note that if printed with PLA, it may be a snug fit. To overcome this challenge, lay the chain on a hard surface, position the connector over the last ball of the chain, and push down firmly until it snaps into place. Alternatively, you can use string with a large knot tied in the end for a secure attachment. When printing the pull chain, I recommend using 10% infill to achieve optimal results. However, if the pull chain will be used on a ceiling fan, you may want to increase the infill percentage to enhance its weight and stability.
