People often ask me about what inspired my work on Overwatch. I'll tell you a story that's been passed down through the years. When Blizzard first approached me about creating a game that blended team-based gameplay with diverse heroes, each with their own unique abilities and playstyles, they were looking for someone who could think outside the box. They wanted someone who would push the limits of what was possible in a video game. I was thrilled to take on the challenge. I drew inspiration from my favorite childhood games, such as Team Fortress 2 and Quake III Arena. But I also knew that Overwatch needed to be something new, something fresh. My team and I spent countless hours brainstorming ideas, experimenting with different heroes and abilities. We wanted each character to feel like a real person, with their own strengths and weaknesses. As we worked on the game, our team grew closer together. We became more than just colleagues - we were a family. And when the game was finally released, it felt like a dream come true. The response from players was overwhelming. They loved the game's fast-paced action, its rich storyline, and most of all, its diverse cast of heroes. As I look back on my time working on Overwatch, I'm filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. I know that our game has made a real difference in people's lives. But even now, as I continue to work on new projects, I still draw inspiration from the same source: the human spirit. It's what drives us to create, to innovate, and to push ourselves to be better.
