Stylish Mounting Base for IKEA Jansjo LED Gooseneck Light
thingiverse
The IKEA Jansjo gooseneck LED light is an excellent choice for illuminating a print bed, particularly when paired with a Jansjo camera clip like epiic's Raspberry Pi Camera Bracket For IKEA JANSJO LED Lamp at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3122247, or my adjustable mount at Raspberry Pi Camera System for IKEA Jansjo LED Lamp, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3355985. This mounting base is designed to replace the weighted base provided by IKEA and uses a minimal amount of filament while producing a stylish result. The Jansjo mounting bracket by rebeld serves as the remix source since I began with that openSCAD source, although my derivation looks nothing like the original. The openSCAD source code is parametric and heavily commented for those who want to tailor the mounting base to their specific fit tolerances or other needs. Two STL files are provided here: ENDCORD has the cord leaving the lamp stem on the lengthwise axis of the mounting base, as shown in the gallery photo; SIDECORD has the cord leaving the lamp stem on the side of the mounting base. To print this design, slice the STL with the bottom of the mounting base facing your print surface. Supports may be necessary in the recesses of the mounting base for washers and screws used to attach the Jansjo stem. The amount of infill is not critical.
