I built a stylized lightsaber model specifically for modding into the VR game Beat Saber, spending about two hours on it overall. However, my main goal was to experiment with Physically Based Rendering (PBR) in Beat Saber, as I couldn't find much information online regarding its feasibility. Despite my efforts, I ultimately failed to integrate it into the game because I believe no one has yet created a PBR shader compatible with Beat Saber, and regular PBR shaders don't work properly due to issues with glow and transparency. To create this lightsaber model, I used 3DS Max for the initial modeling, Zbrush for sculpting details, Substance Painter for texturing, and Unity to make it compatible with Beat Saber.
