Not the tallest, but the first! It was the first telecommunications tower in the world constructed from reinforced concrete, and it is the prototype for many such towers worldwide. And for me as a local resident, it surely is the most beautiful! Opened in 1956 it is with an overall height of 216.8 m (711 ft) a remarkable landmark of the city of Stuttgart and soon became one of its most popular attractions.
