Sturmtiger Loading Hatch Assembly

This assembly replaces moulded parts on a 1/16th scale Torro sturmtiger RC tank. The frame part is installed from inside after the original moulded parts are removed and glued into place. Two hatches, upper and lower sections, are created in two parts and must be joined with locating pins made of 1.75 filament. A hole in the small hatch accommodates the Nahverteidigungswaffe available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4061733. Small holes hold handles crafted from copper wire, while a 3mm hole is reserved for the jib mount fabricated from 3mm brass rod. When installing the large hatch, a thin brass sheet tab secures the front edge in place. The small hatch stays closed with its own mechanism and holds the large one in position when shut. Small copper wires at the hinge keep it secure, while an underside bracket allows attachment to a servo or stop mechanism.
