Sturdy linkage for sg90 servo (type: door outward)
thingiverse
A sturdy linkage for sg90 servo motor I could not find the linkage system I wanted, so I made my own. note; i started with a different linkage system, but soon realized I actually wanted the servo motor on the other side of the door.... (see thing:5859282) It is created to open/close a small door. I use it for an automated chicken coop door. It prevents forced door movement in open and closed position. (The door in the pictures is a carton box proof of work) Requirements: - Sturdy - servo rotation force only used for movement. All other the forces absorbed by the linkage. - In extended positions the linkage prevents the movement to open or close the door (if mounted correctly) - adjustable (just a little bit) - Easy build To build you need: - sg90 servo - small standard servo arm - three m3 bolds (20mm) and nuts - 2 small screws; one to connect the standard servo arm to the servo. one to connect the 'servoConnector' arm to the linkage (for both I used the standard ones that come with the servo to connect the standard servo arm) I hope this design is usefull to you. I would appreciate it if you let me know if you use it. ----------------------------- EDIT: 1- created a high 'studpassive', to fit the recessed door it is going on (the carton box door was 'flat hinged'). renamed the original 'studpassive' to "low". added the stl and photos 2- created a 'studmotorized' with little box and cap to store away the servo wires. added the stl and photos 3- added foto of the linkage system as used on the chicken coop door
