This is a versatile adapter designed to convert a round door knob into a functional door handle with a lever. It's an enhanced version of my previous design, engineered to be significantly thicker and more durable, allowing for a 10-fold reduction in rendering time, and optimized to work seamlessly within Customizer. As before, this sleek ergonomic design is achieved through meticulous attention to detail, which may require several minutes to render depending on the capabilities of your computer. To achieve the most refined appearance, it's essential to match the nom_knob_diam variable in the .scad file closely with the actual diameter of your door knob, ideally within a margin of 0.3mm or less. Utilizing calipers and ensuring accurate calibration will greatly facilitate this process. If you're unable to achieve an accurate measurement, you may need to adjust and reprint accordingly. Alternatively, you can terminate a test print early and use the first few layers to check your measurement. When the nut and bolt sides are clamped together perfectly, just as it reaches the desired grip on the door knob, you'll know you've achieved the ideal size. If you're experiencing insufficient grip, try applying a thin strip of poster putty around the door knob before securing the lever. The accompanying STL file is designed for a 54.9mm diameter door knob and features an M5x18 bolt and an M5 nut to secure it in place.
