Enhance your RepRap Prusa i3 with aluminum corner pieces, keeping the front free of protruding threaded rods. Customize 20x20mm stock by drilling holes and tapping them for a sturdy fit; use grub screws instead of zip ties for smooth rod retention. For detailed placement guidance, check the SketchUp (.skp) file. Craft four 52mm pieces and drill two 8mm holes at 10mm and 30mm from the bottom for threaded rod insertion. A perpendicular 8mm hole 45mm from the bottom, 15mm deep, accommodates smooth rods with a tapped M6 hole for grub screw attachment. Front corner pieces require additional 8.5mm holes drilled 15mm into the block and tapped with M10 parallel to the smooth rods, 20mm from the bottom. In back corner pieces, create 10mm holes parallel to the smooth rod holes. Assemble using two M10 threaded rods and nuts, and four M8 threaded rods and nuts (domed nuts for a fancy look).
