A buddy of mine has been flying stunt kites, but a recent problem occurred when one of his endcap connectors broke in half. I took on the challenge to build a replacement connector using my PrintrBot Simple 3D printer. To ensure it would fit securely on an 8mm rod, the inner diameter of the new connector was precisely calculated at 8.6 mm.
