Student work 2 (Brian Miranda)
thingiverse
Students embark on a cutting-edge 3D design project, tasked with crafting a contemporary readymade using sophisticated software. The objective is to embody the essence of the readymade concept, as previously explained. To achieve this, students must utilize at least three pre-existing forms sourced from crowds, incorporating them seamlessly into their design. Additionally, they are required to incorporate a minimum of three basic geometric shapes – either through additive or subtractive sculpting techniques – and skillfully combine these elements to create an innovative readymade design. This digital presentation will be showcased and critiqued online, freeing students from constraints related to scale and material. As a result, they can concentrate solely on the artistic form of their creation.
