Student design challenge
thingiverse
I designed a case for a 200mm x 295mm x 22mm Chromebook. This case is 230mm by 331m and 43mm tall. I designed this case to help virtual students with a safe place to store their devices. The design has built-in pencil holders and a cover that can be put on using rails that allow the top to slide into place. Both pieces have a 10mm lip that allows a 2mm thick plastic rectangle that is 36 mm wide and 224mm long to slide in closing the case keeping the two pieces together. There are holes on the sides to allow the user to plug in their device. while it is in the case. 3d Printing this design would make it easier to manufacture since it would make it easier to scale up or down for different sizes. If I could redesign this model I would have incorporated a way for the lid to be used as an attachable spot to do paperwork.
