This is a generic handle designed for use with a rotating composting bin that was purchased from Bunnings hardware, Australia (see pics). My mother-in-law found the composter quite heavy to rotate when it was getting full, so I designed and printed 4 handles that provide her some leverage to rotate the bin much more easily. The handles are very sturdy and 4 of them together work well and seem to have good spacing for easy use. The handle dimensions are approx 65mm high x 35mm wide and takes an M10 bolt to secure. I added a galvanised washer to give more surface area to the bolt head when installed inside the composter bin. I have included everything - FreeCAD file - Exported STEP file - Exported STL file so you can modify to suit your needs. I used the Fasteners add on in FreeCAD to create the threaded rod that is used to cut the internal thread for the M10 bolt. So, if you need to have thread all the way through to the base of the part, simply delete the pocket (5.2mm radius) as the threaded rod is 40mm long and actually extends through to the base of the part - it's just hidden becuase theplain hole is a slightly larger diameter than the threaded rod). I'm a novice with FreeCAD, so don't expect a production level quality drawing, but it does work for me :) FreedCAD v0.19 / Linux I hope someone else can find some use for this part also. Enjoy...
