thingiverse
The "Cool Hotspot" is a prototype crafted by team "Cyclists" during STTF2013, an event that ran from July 8th to 13th at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon. This innovative design features a cork agglomerate and a dibond aluminum plate, CNC milled, with physical computing elements like an Arduino, peltier element, or CO2 sensor. Additional components include an air pump, small air fan, and newsletter. It's designed to fit into a central column made of recycled wood pallets powered by solar panels. STTF2013 was organized by VitruviusFabLab-IUL and CIES-IUL, with more information available at http://sttf2013.iscte-iul.pt. The prototype's blueprint, code on Github, and final presentation video are accessible for further exploration.
