My initial blueprint for a minimalist casing and driver electronics for a STS-5 (CTC-5) Geiger-Müller tube is centered around an Arduino Nano clone that powers a 0.96" OLED display, a standard 5mm LED, and a 12mm Piezo buzzer. The system draws power from an 18650 Lithium Ion 3.7v cell, which is recharged and boosted for Arduino use by a TP4056 board. The STS-5 tube demands low current 400VDC, delivered by a HIA4V1 DCDC step up board powered by the same 5v as the Arduino. Bill of Materials: 18650 Cell - These can be scavenged from many sources.
