Stryfe Switch Plate - Screw Mounted and Friction Secured
thingiverse
After struggling through a frustrating experience where I botched the switch mount, made a hasty transition from hot glue to epoxy, and had an overall mediocre time, I decided to create a printable switch mount. Its friction-fit capable nature was inspired by Out of Darts' innovative switch plate design, which sparked my desire to develop a solution that doesn't require any additional hardware for mounting. This project requires only two M3 screws (ideally about 14mm in length) and minor modifications to the stock covering plate to secure the switch. The friction alone will hold it in place, although you can definitely glue down the switch plate if you prefer. Version 1.1: After putting off this update for far too long, I finally made some much-needed adjustments to the switch plate design, which now fits perfectly without requiring any modifications to the screw-hold down point. The entire switch mount was moved a few millimeters lower to achieve this seamless fit. Version 1.2: Following my initial discovery of a reliability issue with the stock rev trigger, I finally found the time to address it and created a piece that can be securely superglue'd onto the stock rev trigger. This ensures that it engages with the switch no matter how hard I try to prevent it from doing so.
