Here is a revised text based on the original post. I once had a friend who was whining about his broken Guitar Hero guitar. He told me it would never play again unless he found some replacement parts online or maybe at a nearby repair shop. So I started looking at all the plastic bits left behind from disassembly. We both knew it wasn't too late yet and there might still be enough salvageable materials. After finding out what could potentially replace each damaged part, I started experimenting with 3D printing. This led me to use my MakerBot as a tool in crafting replacement parts for the Guitar Hero controller's handle. At first, the prototype seemed functional, but after re-reading it multiple times, there were several points which would benefit from some minor tweaks. There might still be room for improvement when combining this with an actual trigger mechanism or perhaps the whole assembly of components. Upon examining the various pieces we gathered from breaking down other Guitar Hero guitars that I've encountered in person, a noticeable design pattern began emerging. Some Guitar Heroes had square magnets recessed inside specific points and a more rounded surface near others - all seemingly connected through some internal workings nobody fully understands at this point yet. As stated before: It requires both patience as well as an attention to details while reassembling each component of this system carefully, so make sure your hands don't tremble during final setup stages when doing this for the first time. Instructions: This set consists of several files related to Guitar Hero guitars designed specifically around working without electronics. All these objects print best at a rate equivalent to 0.1 millimeter thickness per layer, and it should look nice with any of these printing at ten percent density infill
