This is a quick fit extruder designed by makers group that can extrude almost everything, from PLA to rubber, including nylon, ABS, HIPS, and more. One adapter printed piece makes this extruder usable in Prusa i3. The dragon is printed using this extruder at 50 micron resolution. A hobbed bolt for direct drive with an external diameter of 12mm. 2. Four M4x20 bolts. 3. Four M4 nuts. 4. Four M4 washers. 5. One hotend with a fit of 18 or 16mm. 6. One Nema 17 stepper motor. 7. One fan with heatshrink (like the photo). 8. One 5x18.4mm smooth rod (a bit less is okay). 9. One 16x5x5 bearing. 10. One strong spring (I'll publish the seller's info). If you want to build a magnetic quick fit: 2. Two 6x17mm metal smooth rods. 3. Two 20x3mm rods with a 5mm center hole and a neodymium magnet (find on eBay). 4. Two case fan screws. (I'll add instructions for assembly soon.) Parameters to make it work: * Marlin extruder step/mm: 94 with 1/16 microstepping. * Slic3r extruder max speed: 30 mm/s (can be more if you give more current to the motor, recommended to use DRV8825 drivers. If using A4988, sometime not enough current is given to the motor, especially with a 2.5A Nema 17).
