Structure absorbante des chocs (structure auxétiques )
grabcad
Auxetics, from the Greek word "auxein" meaning to extend, are materials with a negative Poisson's ratio. Isotropic material theory allows for a Poisson's ratio ranging between -1 and 0.5. Currently, auxetic materials fall into three categories: microscopically auxetic crystals like zeolites, mechanically and thermally treated polymer foams (e.g., PTFE Teflon) that can become auxetic, and fibers used in composite materials.
