Stroopwafel World Clock
thingiverse
Any time is a good time for a Stroopwafel when you have a Stroopwafel World Clock! Stroopwafels are taking off within the 3D printing community on Twitter, with Stroopwafel World (@StroopwafelW) connecting and being followed by many of us. A Stroopwafel is a sort of sandwich cookie made from two thin waffles with creamy caramel filling. By placing one over a cup of coffee for a minute or two, the coffee warms the Stroopwafel, makes the caramel filling nice and gooey, and enhances the experience. Perhaps the reason we in the 3D printing community love them is because of the Stroopwafel 3D Connection: Delicious, Dutch, Delicacy. (See what I did there? Three Ds?) The basis for this model is the Stroopwafel World logo, modeled by Insypre 3D, and available here: https://gumroad.com/l/liDFd I wanted to add: Please follow Insypre 3D (@chris_frieze) and Stroopwafel World (@StroopwafelW) on Twitter. And if you can't find Stroopwafels locally, get authentic Dutch Stroopwafels from the Netherlands (with shipping worldwide!) at https://www.stroopwafelworld.com. This project requires a low-cost clock mechanism. The clock hanger should be printed lying down. If you're confident in your printer's ability to bridge, supports are not needed. You may want them in the hanger holes if unsure. The clock face is thin—only about 2 layers at 0.2mm layer height. Be careful when removing it from your build plate. I printed in three colors by pausing and swapping filament as the file was being printed. Don't forget to rotate a print 45 degrees around the Z axis to get it to fit on a smaller build plate!
