Stronger hub for 3D-Workshop's Masterspool design
thingiverse
I really like Masterspool's design from 3D-Workshop (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2823667). I've been waiting for a great version that uses less filament, and this one is definitely a top contender. I also love the way it clicks together and un-clicks again using the special tool he created. It's like a toy you couldn't get enough of as a kid. I can keep opening and closing it all day! :) I did find though, that parts of the original hub that I needed (l-type hub 102-45 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3140646) were only one perimeter thick when I sliced and printed them a few times. That proved to be too thin for my handling. So I just beefed up these bits a bit to make it a little stronger part. Big UP to Frank aka 3D-Workshop for the original design! https://www.thingiverse.com/3d-workshop
