Stronger Headphone Clip Stand
thingiverse
The original headphone holder seemed very weak and required unnecessary supports to print. So, I remade the male end from the ground up with the following changes:Increased width of the interlocking pin to no longer require any supports when printing on its sideIncreased pin thickness for strengthPin is now in line with the bottom part of the clip to hopefully improve strengthI also tweaked the female end that the headphones actually rest on:Adjusted the slot to fit the larger male endWidened the entire curve to accommodate for larger headphonesMade the top end chamfer shallower so that the overhang is easier to printJust like the original, I provided SLDPRT files so that you can change the dimensions of the male half to fit your desk. I made this print custom for an irregular width. My tolerances were a little loose, so I'll put some hot glue in there to connect them. I reduced the tolerances before uploading the files so hopefully it won't be as big of a problem for you, although I still do recommend glue. The female end took 2 hours to print when oriented with the flat part (that connects to the male end) facing down on the print bed. The male end took 3 hours when placed flat on the bed (from a top down view it looks like a number four or a lowercase h).
